How do mind machines work?

One analagy is taken with the light given off by a flickering flame. It is often said that a roaring fire in the fireplace is a very relaxing and soothing experinence to sit by and watch. The flickering lights produced by the random flames, work in principle the same way as the lights from a mind machine.

Mind machines essentially block out all normal exterior stimulation and replace it with its own light and sound stimulation. The brain begins to follow these frequencies for the period it is subjected to them. On completing the session and removing the stimuli, the brain reverts back to its normal patterns. The brain soon learns how to achieve these altered states without the aid of the machine. A fast way to achieve meditation.

All mind machines work by controlling by various settings:

-frequency
-phase
-duty cycle
-amlitude
-pitch of sound wave (frequency)


How do you use a light and sound device?

It is easy! Simply:

- IMPORTANT - please read any instruction manuals prior to trying these devices. They can cause epileptic seizures in a small number of people. Be sure to have understood the risks associated with strobing lights.
- Choose which preset session to use according to the desired state
- Find somewhere comfy to sit
- Place the headphones and light stimulation glasses on your head.
- Close your eyes and press play!
- Alter the brightness of the glasses until comfortable.
- Now experience the amazing lightshow upon your eyelids.
- Beginner users should repeat this for a short period a few times a week to start to see any results (non-medical)
